Go First Airways has been ordered into liquidation by an Indian tribunal after a request from the airline's lenders, local media reported on January 20, 2025.
The decision reportedly came after the airline was unable to secure a restructuring plan. Lenders had rejected earlier bids from potential investors, which led to the court's decision. The budget carrier had first filed for bankruptcy in May 2023 after struggling with its debts. It owes nearly $800 million to its creditors.
