Global Knafaim Leasing has signed a deal with an American lessor for the purchase of a 2005 Airbus 319-100ER. The deal is worth US$30m. The aircraft has been leased to a mainline US carrier. Knafaim financed the purchase with a $17.5m non-recourse loan from an Israeli bank, and the rest through a deposit from the leasing airline. The plane is leased through 2017. Knafaim now has 23 aircraft on lease with annual income of US$198m.
