Britain's biggest budget carrier easyJet has announced the first flights on its new summer route from Glasgow Airport to Porto.
The route opened on March 31 and will operate "up to twice a week" during summer, according to the airline, which is also selling holiday packages to the Portuguese city.
"We are delighted to have celebrated the launch of our new service from Glasgow to Porto, providing our Scottish customers with direct and convenient departures twice a week and brilliant city break packages to this beautiful Portuguese city," said Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager.
“Portugal is a really popular destination with our passengers and the addition of this beautiful coastal destination offering city-break vibes and stunning golden sand beaches should be a big hit with them," said Ronald Leitch, Glasgow Airport's operations director.
