GKN Aerospace has joined the UK-based HyFIVE project will develop a liquid hydrogen fuel system and future supply chain. The industry partners include Marshall, Parker Meggitt, University of Manchester, University of Bath, and Cardiff University.

""This unique industry partnership, combined with the knowledge of leading academics, is a significant step towards a sustainable future for aviation.""
The project has so far secured £40 million ($50.7 million) in funding through industry and government investment.
