GetJet Airlines, an IOSA-certified Lithuanian ACMI and charter carrier, has signed a wet-lease agreement with Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) deploying three A320-200 units for winter season operations. The aircraft will be deployed at Heydar Aliyev Internation Airport serving as their operational base.
The Lithuanian AOC will increase the capacity of a modern AZAL fleet and carry passengers across a diverse range of popular destinations within the network of Azerbaijan air carrier in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.
“We are stepping into the winter season with a new strong and promising partnership with Azerbaijan flag carrier which proves that ACMI operations remain in high demand,” says Rūta Kulvinskaitė, GetJet Airlines CEO. “This is an important milestone for us in two ways. First, this partnership strengthens our presence in Asia and reinforces our global fleet operations. Second, we are deploying a significant number of our Airbus A320 family units for the entire winter season which usually brings seasonal challenges for ACMI providers. We are delighted that we have gained trust in our services worldwide and can expand our operations in various regions and continents regardless of the season.”
GetJet Airlines fleet consists of Airbus A320, Airbus A321, and Boeing 737NG aircraft.
