Airline seat availability on all flights from, to and in Germany will be 133.4 million from May to October, or 84% of supply as it was before the "corona" pandemic., according to industry body BDL.
The BDL, or German Aviation Association, said the number "represents growth of 10%" compared to 2022, with short and medium-haul traffic to eastern Europe the main driver of the increase.
"On long-haul routes, growth on Asian routes remains slightly down, but is still at a high level due to the catch-up effects", according to the BDL.
Long-haul flying will show "the strongest recovery" compared to 2019, the BDL said, with traffic to and from North America central to the rebound.
