German Airlines has signed a wet lease agreement with Binter for coming winter schedule. German airlines will fly Spanish routes for Binter deploying its E190 in Las Palmas on Gran Canaria. The aircraft will be flying in Binter livery from November.
German Airways will supplement missing Binter aircraft during their maintenance and will mainly handle flights to mainland Spain.
Maren Wolters, managing director, German Airways said: "We are very pleased about this new partnership. We are expecting a very demanding operation for which we are well equipped. Both airlines share the same passion for excellent service and travel comfort."
Binter connects all seven major Canary Islands and their eight airports; it also flies to Madeira, the Cape Verde Islands, destinations on the Spanish mainland, Palma de Mallorca, as well as airports in France, Italy and West Africa.
Since 2022, Binter offers international flights during summer with origin and destination abroad with the connection Marrakech, Madeira. The company also wants to establish itself as an interface for flights between Europe and Africa. Binter is an Embraer operator and currently has a fleet of 28 ATR turboprops and five Embraer E195 jets.
