The number of seats available on airlines operating flights from, to and in Germany from April to September 2023 is at 82% of the pre-pandemic level, according to the German Aviation Association.
The association, better-known by its German initialism BDL, said the number of seats for the period would be 128.6 million.
"Compared to the same period last year, the largest expansion of the offer on routes to and from Asia", the BDL reported, after countries in the region re-opened much more slowly than in Europe and the Americas.
The number of seats available on routes to the Levant/Middle East was set to exceed the number for 2019, the BDL said.
