GE Aerospace secures tentative deal with UAW workers after two-week strike

After two weeks of strikes, GE Aerospace workers represented by the United Auto Workers (UAW) union have secured a five-year tentative agreement.

The union describes the agreement as a “major victory”. The striking workers had called for improved job security, health care costs, and work-life balance, with the union declaring it secured “victories on all fronts”. GE Aerospace agreed to cover “nearly all health care premium increases” over the five-year contract and workers will receive additional time off.

“The deal also secures strong job security protections for both Erlanger and Evendale locations, including minimum headcount and new work,” said UAW in a statement.

The workers will vote to ratify the contract on September 19, 2025.
