The French government has recommended its nationals avoid travel to Sierra Leone and Liberia due to the risk associated with the ongoing Ebola virus outbreak, and has also asked Air France-KLM to suspend flights to the Sierra Leone capital of Freetown.
The government stated its decision was driven by "developments in the epidemic and the state of the health systems" in the two West African countries.
The government also said that Air France’s flights to Nigeria and Guinea did not need to be suspended.
