Fokker’s B737NG SBAS enhanced navigation design achieves EASA approval

Fokker Services’ B737NG SBAS enhanced navigation design has received Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval from European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

Fokker claims that the STC will enable them to modernize the B737NG aircraft navigation systems, allowing airlines and operators worldwide to comply with current and future SBAS mandates.

Fokker Services Group's new SBAS design offers a cost-effective solution, enhancing flight safety and pilot convenience. This new capability provides aircraft position, navigation, and time with increased accuracy, seamlessly integrating with other aircraft systems and Fokker Services Group-developed modifications, including, SBAS LPV landing system, enhanced ADS-B Out, enhanced TCAS and enhanced EGPWS.

After EASA approval, Fokker is now eyeing approval from FAA, CAAC and DGCA along with extending the services to other platforms.
