Fokker Services Group Americas is to commence a ‘substantial upgrade’ of its repair facilities in LaGrange, Georgia, including the installation of state-of-the-art solar panels.
The subsidiary of Fokker Services Group (FSG) will partner with Principle Construction and Turner Services, who FSG describe as being ‘renowned for spearheading sustainable initiatives such as solar energy installations on rooftops and canopies, electric vehicle charging stations, and wind-powered generators’.
“By transitioning to solar energy, FSG will be significantly reducing their carbon emissions and dependence on fossil fuels. This not only benefits their business but also contributes to a healthier planet for future generations,” commented Craig Winter, president of Fokker Services Americas. The unveiling of the new facilities is scheduled for late summer.
