flynas carried 5 million passengers in the first half of 2023, recording an increase of 26% over same time last year marking a solid 46% surge in revenue.
The airline has expanded its fleet by 19% and now has 51 aircraft, providing a 19% increase in seat capacity. It has also launched 10 new destinations and is working towards serving 165 destinations by 2030.
Commenting on the progress, managing director and chief executive, Bander Almohanna said: “We are proud of flynas performance during the first half of 2023. This industry-leading operational performance will keep us on track to achieve our full-year targets as we continuously expand our network, create new partnerships, and enhance our operational capacities."
Serving a total of 70 destinations and operating more than 1,500 flights a week, flynas is working towards achieving the goal of serving 165 destinations by 2030, in line with plans for Saudi Vision 2030.
flynas commenced direct flights from Jeddah to Bishek and Os in Kyrgyzstan and Almaty in Kazakhstan. Furthermore, sever other routes experienced frequency boosts, such as Tashkent, the capital city of Uzbekistan.
The airline purchased an additional 20 Airbus A320neo aircraft for its future growth plans. However, the carrier recently took delivery of its fourth Airbus A330 aircraft and two more of the A320neo from the 19 of the type the airline is expecting this year.
During the Hajj season this year, the airline transported over 100,000 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia from 13 countries.
