Saudi Arabian carrier Flynas has an ordered for 20 A320s in place but sources have reported that the airline is keen to renegotiate the order to take some A350s to serve its new long-haul routes.
Chief Executive Officer Raja Azmi said: “We’ll have to start talking soon because nothing is available before 2020 at the earliest.”
Flynas is also considering swapping its A320-classic orders for the Neo. Flynas currently leases 27 aircraft, including three Airbus A330s, to serve eight intercontinental routes three times a week from next month. Although Azmi has confirmed that buying planes outright appeals most for its long-haul unit.
