flydubai has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for its fourth 737 MAX purchase, including 75 orders and 75 options.
The 75 firm aircraft are valued at around $13bn at list price.
The deal was signed during the third day of the Dubai Airshow 2025 (November 19).
“Looking ahead, proactive fleet planning is essential to ensuring we are well-placed to meet the rising demand for travel — a demand we are confident will continue to grow," said flydubai chairman Saeed Al Maktoum.
"Anticipating future needs is a defining factor in the success of any airline and today's announcement reflects our commitment to that principle.”
Yesterday, flydubai signed an MoU with Airbus for the purchase of 150 A321neo aircraft. On the first day of the airshow, the airline signed an agreement with GE Aerospace to purchase 60 GEnx-1B engines to power its widebody fleet.
In 2023, flydubai placed its first-ever widebody aircraft order for 30 Boeing 787 Dreamliner jets.
