Flydeal to boost fleet to 50 aircraft by 2020

New low-cost carrier Flyadeal plans to build a fleet of up to 50 aircraft flying by 2020, according to director general Saleh al-Jasser. The Saudi Arabia-based airline, which launched last week, plans to start services to domestic and regional destinations from mid-2017 using aircraft – A320s or 737s – leased from sister airline Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia). Al-Jasser predicted that Flyadeal could break even within two to three years.
