Avia Solutions Group subsidiary FL Technics has opened a new wheels and brakes facility in Bergamo, Italy. The new facility has begun the roll-out of operations.
This marks the company's fourth dedicated wheels and brakes facility in Europe. These include sites in Budapest, Hanover, and Vilnius.
"Our investment in Bergamo addresses the growing demand from airlines in Southern and Western Europe, and gets us one step closer to building the largest MRO network on the continent,” said Zilvinas Lapinskas, CEO of FL Technics. “With strong partnerships, a highly skilled workforce, and strategic locations across the continent, this new facility will become a key hub for landing gear components, serving major airlines throughout Europe.”
The company expects to grow the Bergamo facility to nearly 160 professionals.
