NG Eagle has operated its inaugural flight, marking the start of operations for the new Nigerian airline.
A leased A320 made the journey from Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, the Nigerian capital, on 10 December. “The Eagle has soared!” wrote the airline on social media.
Four days later, the carrier landed in the Nigerian city of Benin for the first time, where it was greeted by the executive governor of Edo state His Excellency Godwin Obaseki and state officials. ‘Our Chairman, Abdullahi Ahmed in his remark reaffirmed our commitment to support the business, recreational and tourism needs of the good people of Edo state by delivering memorable air travel experiences,’ noted NG Eagle.
Domestic routes currently listed as operational include Abuja, Lagos, PortHarcourt, Benin, Sokoto and Yola.
