Finnair reports losses

Finnair has confirmed it would raise its annual cost savings target by €30m to €170m ($205 million) as it reported further losses. The airline reported a quarterly operating loss of €149.1m versus a loss of €95.6m for the same period last year.

With passenger numbers down 83% cargo accounted for more than 50% of the company's revenue, Chief Executive Topi Manner said in a statement.

Finnair expects a similar operating loss for the second quarter of 2021.
