Finnair has named Kaisa Aalto-Luoto as chief people officer and executive board member.
The appointment will take effect "at the latest on 23 November 2023" and will see Aalto-Luoto take over some duties from Johanna Karppi, senior vice president, human resources.
Karrpi will be in place until autumn 2023 "and will leave Finnair at a date to be decided later", the flag carrier announced.
"Johanna has done an excellent job in extremely difficult circumstances as Finnair has faced a double crisis caused by the pandemic and the closure of Russian airspace, both of which have also required difficult decisions regarding our personnel", said chief executive Topi Manner.
"At the same time, I want to warmly welcome Kaisa to the Finnair team. Kaisa's broad experience will be valuable as we take Finnair to the next stage," Manner added.
