Finnair expands summer 2024 network with new destinations and increased capacity

Finnair has expanded Summer 2024 network in response to the growing demand for global travel in both Europe and Asia. Starting April 2, 2024, Finnair will offer a convenient seven-weekly direct service between Helsinki and Wroclaw.

Starting from March 31, 2024, Finnair will resume its Gdansk route with ten weekly flights between Helsinki and Gdansk

Customers based in the UK & Ireland will also benefit from Finnair’s new schedule, with the introduction of additional flights to Manchester, Edinburgh, and Dublin in 2024. The airline will operate 12 weekly direct flights from Manchester to Helsinki, an increase from the current eight flights.

This enhanced frequency strengthens the connection between England and Finland, making it easier for travelers to reach Finnish capital. Finnair will add two more weekly flights from Edinburgh to Helsinki, increasing the service to seven times per week during the summer.

The airline will increase direct flights to Helsinki from seven to ten per week in summer 2024.

Besides, each flight will offer an additional 44 seats, as the capacity on this route is upgraded from an E190 to an A319 aircraft.

Finnair is also adding extra flights to Japan. The airline is adding two additional weekly flights from Helsinki to Osaka and Tokyo-Narita next summer. With this the Japan routes will have five and six weekly flights, respectively, in addition to Finnair’s existing daily Tokyo-Haneda service.

The airline is also planning to add additional frequencies to Bergen, Billund, Stockholm, Tromso, and Trondheim along with resuming its pre-pandemic routes of Helsinki to Stockholm and Bergen.
