Finnair concludes negotiations with cabin crew, offers "record" number of flights to Lapland for winter schedule

Finnair has concluded negotiations with its cabin crew on May 19, 2025, in its collective labour agreement discussions with the Finnish Transport Workers' Union. The union represents Finnair cabin crew in Finland.

The negotiations have been ongoing since last December. The result of the negotiations, which covers three years, with the last year as optional, needs to be approved by the administrations of both parties.

""I am very pleased that we have reached a result together through constructive discussion," said Kaisa Aalto-Luoto, Finnair's chief people officer. “This lays a sound foundation on which we can build and shape a successful shared future."

Finnair said it has 1,800 cabin crew members.

In addition, the airline said it is offering a record number of flights to Lapland for the winter schedule. The airline is increasing frequencies to destinations including Rovaniemi, Ivalo, and Kittila.

“The additional flights will be focussed especially on the high season from December to February, but we have also added flights in March, thus supporting the whole winter travel season," said Finnair vice president, network Perttu Jolma.

The airline will have up to 72 weekly flights to Rovaniemi next winter. During peak season, the airline will fly to the destination up to 16 times per day on Saturdays and 14 times per day on Sundays.

Kittila will have up to 41 weekly flights.
