Finnair has announced that it will offer more connections to Moscow and St Petersburg in Russia, further improving connectivity with Finnair’s network from the UK.
In line with its growth strategy, as of April 10, Finnair will double its flights between Helsinki and Moscow. The new services will be operated by Embraer 190 aircraft, with Finnair flying 14 weekly flights between the Russian capital and Helsinki and offering up to four daily flights in co-operation with Aeroflot Russian Airlines
As of April 23, Finnair will also add six weekly frequencies between Helsinki and St Petersburg, bringing the total number of weekly connections to 20 flights. The new services, operated by ATR aircraft, link smoothly into Finnair’s broad European network of over 70 destinations, allowing customers to connect via Helsinki.
The news follows Finnair’s recent announcement that capacity from the UK and Ireland will increase for the summer 2017 season due to strong passenger demand. Edinburgh will be served by up to five weekly flights following the successful launch of the seasonal route in April 2016, and capacity from Dublin will also increase to nine weekly flights from March 2017.
