Finnair carried 1.1 million passengers in August 2025, marking a 3.2% on the same month last year.
Passenger numbers grew 11.9% in Asia to 146,800 in August, while North Atlantic grew 24.4% to 56,300 passengers. Europe passengers grew 4.2% to 780,300 passengers. Domestic was down 3.7% to 103,200 and Middle East fell 62% to 14,100 passengers.
Overall capacity was up 6.6%, with significant increases in Asia and North Atlantic at 11.9% and 45.1%, respectively. Middle East capacity dropped 67.4%, which was driven by the airline ending cooperation with Qatar Airways on flights between Stockholm, Copenhagen and Doha at the start of this year.
Passenger load factor averaged at 78.9%, up 0.3 percentage points.
In addition, total cargo tonnes declined by 0.4%, while revenue cargo tonne kilometres increased 2.7%.
