FedEx pilots are to stage a picket outside the New York Stock Exchange on April 5.
The event is "to send a message to the investment community and FedEx senior leadership that now is the time for a new pilot contract that recognises the value FedEx pilots bring to the company", according to the pilots.
“While the world shut down during the pandemic, FedEx pilots remained on the front lines, supplying the world with personal protective equipment and vaccines," said pilot Chris Norman, chair of the FedEx group at the Air Line Pilots' Association (ALPA).
"FedEx pilots also rose to the challenge of providing capacity to meet the growing demand for e-commerce deliveries by manufacturers, suppliers, and consumers," Norman added.
