Regional aircraft asset manager and lessor Falko has delivered three Embraer E190s to South African carrier Airlink. The aircraft were delivered on behalf of Falko’s managed fund, Falko Regional Aircraft Opportunities Fund II, as part of a three-aircraft deal with the airline.

This latest transaction follows two E190s placed earlier this year and increases the number of Falko-managed aircraft on lease to Airlink to eleven. “The Embraer 190 has proved to be the right size of aircraft for most routes within our comprehensive network of destinations domestically and throughout South Africa, enabling high frequency of service, appropriate capacity to satisfy market demands,” commented Rodger Foster, CEO and managing director of Airlink.

“This transaction also enlarges Falko’s African footprint, reflecting an increasingly important market for regional aircraft,” noted Mark Hughes, Falko’s chief commercial officer.
