A bomb alert involving a parcel on board a UPS aircraft has once again opened the debate on security checks on cargo items allowed onto flights. It is reported by UK based news services that a fake bomb which was left with a courier company in North London reached Istanbul on a cargo flight. Only then were the components it contained detected by a Turkish security screening.
