ExecuJet MRO Services Australia has completed its first 20-year maintenance check on a Global Express jet, the heaviest check a company can perform on this type of aircraft with the oldest aircraft of this type are around 24 years old. The check was carried out at its facility at Melbourne's Essendon Airport.
""With more Global Express aircraft coming due for this check in the coming years, we are well-positioned as we have the experience and attention to detail,"" said ExecuJet MRO Services regional vice president Australasia Grant Ingall.
The extensive check required the cabin interior to be removed in order to access areas of the fuselage for inspection and testing, as well as the aircraft requiring all three landing gears to be overhauled. It also upgraded the inflight entertainment system and installed USB-C outlets in the cabin.
