EVA Air orders 18 A350s and 15 A321neos

EVA Air, one of the two largest airlines in Taiwan, has finalised an order for 18 A350-1000s and 15 A321neos directly from the manufacturer.

The A321neo will bring “new levels of efficiency for the carrier’s regional network,” explained EVA Air, while the A350-100 will replace previous-generation aircraft in the airlines’ long-haul sector. “For long-range operations the A350-1000 sets new standards in its class and will allow us to offer our passengers the best possible in-flight experience,” said Clay Sun, president of EVA Air.

The slightly larger A350-1000 typically seats up to 410 passengers (compared to the -900 variant, which seats up to 350). The A350 is currently in service with 39 operators, with more than 570 aircraft flying primarily on long-haul routes.
