On 30 January 2018, the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Associations (IFATCA) and the European Organization for Civil Aviation Equipment (EUROCAE) will sign a Memorandum of Understanding confirming their relationship and collaboration on developing aviation industry standards. The MoU, which will be signed by Christian Schleifer-Heingärtner, EUROCAE’s Secretary General and Tom Laursen, Executive Vice President Europe for IFATCA, enables the two organizations to address relevant issues and will speed up the implementation of new technologies to ensure safe, seamless and efficient aviation in Europe. The signature will take place during the IFATCA workshop on Digitalization in ATM, on 30 of January 2018 at the airport in Geneva.
