The European Union aviation authorities are preparing to life a ban that prevents Venezuelan state-run airline Conviasa aircraft landing in the European Union.
The sanction was imposed in April 2012 due to numerous alleged safety problems arising from accidents and the results of ramp checks in EU airports. The Venezuela Foreign Minister Elias Jaua described the ban as “unjust” – the airline has implemented all of the EU’s recommendations and the ban is expected to be lifted on on Wednesday.
