Etihad Airways has announced that in summer 2026 it will be offering four weekly flights from Abu Dhabi to Zanzibar, the popular Tanzanian holiday destination.
The service will begin in June 2026 and will run until early September.
Zanzibar is the 30th new destination this year that Etihad has added to its network this year.
“The decision to return has been facilitated by Etihad’s larger and more complete European network, with multiple double-daily services now feeding Abu Dhabi,” the company said.
“With two major European banks creating efficient connections in both directions, Zanzibar is now more accessible than ever for guests from Europe and the GCC.”
Etihad flights to Zanzibar will be operated by the Airbus A320, offering business and economy class cabins.
