Etihad Airways and Engine Alliance say they have finalized an agreement for GP7200 engines to power the carrier’s fleet of 10 Airbus A380s due to start delivery in 2012. The deal includes a long-term fleet management agreement for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the engines. In all the deal is worth $1.5 billion, according to Engine Alliance.
