Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services has commenced a freighter service to Casablanca, Morocco; extending the number of African destinations served by its cargo service to 35.
“The new service opens a new chapter as it is our maiden venture into the Maghreb region,” explained Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew. “As the largest cargo network operator in Africa and a key air cargo service provider globally, Ethiopian Airlines will continue expanding its services around the world by operating new routes,” he added.
The freighter service to Casablanca will be operated using the 777-200F cargo aircraft which has a payload capacity of more than 100 tons. Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services currently deploys more than 145 aircraft (including 17 dedicated freighters) to more than 135 international destinations, complemented by a modern warehouse facility hosting 1.15 million tons of storage capacity.
