A crocodile, which escaped from a passenger's luggage, brought down a small aircraft in the Democratic Republic of Congo
Some 20 people were killed after the hidden animal escaped and sparked a stampede on the flight, sending the plane off-balance and causing it to crash. However one passenger survivor to report the incident, who said that a passenger had hidden the animal in a sports bag with the intention of selling it. The crocodile escaped and the 18 passengers and a stewardess rushed towards the cockpit after the reptile broke free as the plane was descending. Even though the animal survived the crash, rescuers killed it with machetes.
