Belgian airline, VLM (Flemish Air Transport Company) is the latest European airline to join the European Regions Airline Association (ERA). VLM joins a further 48 European airlines at ERA.
VLM’s managing director, Arthur White, says that ERA’s strong connections with Europe’s regulatory bodies and determination to protect the interests of regional airlines in Europe were key factors in the airline’s decision to join the association.
“We are looking forward to working with the staff of ERA and other member airlines to ensure that European regional airlines and airports develop and make a major contribution to economic growth. The future of regional aviation depends on airlines and airports having a strong and effective voice. ERA is that voice,” adds White.
Director general of ERA, Simon McNamara, notes: “The addition of VLM to ERA’s membership is great news. ERA’s directorate and members are looking forward to working with the airline on the many issues that affect the European regional aviation community and to exploring new and exciting market opportunities.”
