Emirates’ 20-year plan for the A380

Emirates President Tim Clark has stated that he has held several meetings with Airbus on the A380neo, detailing how many aircraft they would need up until 2035.
Even though Emirates is pushing for the upgraded version of the superjumbo, Airbus is continuing to refuse to confirm the launch of the programme.

Emirates current has 140 A380s on order; the airline will take delivery of 21 next year – 15 of which will be in high capacity two-class variants to serve popular routes. Emirates wants to order another 100 aircraft and is considering the A380 (and the Neo) as well as the A350 and 787.
