Embraer backlog reaches record $31.6bn

Embraer reported a record company-wide backlog of $31.6 billion at the end of the fourth quarter of 2025, up 20% year-on-year, reflecting strong demand across its commercial, executive and services businesses.

Commercial Aviation accounted for $14.5 billion of the total backlog, supported by continued sales of the E-Jet E2 family. During the quarter, Embraer secured commitments for additional E195-E2 aircraft from lessor TrueNoord and Swiss regional operator Helvetic Airways, expanding the in-service footprint of the type in Europe.

The manufacturer also announced an order from Air Côte d’Ivoire for E175 aircraft, aimed at boosting regional connectivity across West Africa and strengthening the carrier’s domestic and short-haul network.

In Executive Aviation, Embraer recorded a new all-time high backlog of $7.6 billion, representing a 4% quarter-on-quarter increase, driven by sustained demand for its Phenom and Praetor business jet families.

Defense & Security also contributed to the record backlog, with sales of five KC-390 Millennium transport aircraft to Sweden and Portugal, adding further momentum to the programme’s international expansion.

Embraer’s Services & Support division sustained its record-high backlog of $4.9 billion, up 7% year-on-year, reflecting growing demand for aftermarket support as global fleets of Embraer aircraft continue to expand.

The manufacturer said the backlog growth across all business units highlights the resilience of demand for regional jets, business aircraft and defence platforms, as well as the increasing importance of long-term service contracts in underpinning revenue visibility.

The record backlog provides Embraer with multi-year production coverage and underpins its near- and medium-term delivery outlook, particularly for the E2 programme as airlines and lessors seek fuel-efficient replacements for ageing narrowbody and regional jet fleets.
