Egyptair has introduced a new direct route connecting Cairo International Airport to Newark Liberty International Airport, thrice weekly. Egyptair already has an established service to New York through JFK, with the new non-stop Newark service airline is expanding its US capacity.

Egyptair estimates that the total travel time for this route is to be around 11 hours and 20 minutes. The airline is planning to deploy its B787-9 on the route with 300 seat-configuration. The airline will be utilizing just 30 business class seats and around 275 economy class seats.

The airline currently flies to three other North American cities. Egyptair has a daily flight to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), five flights a week to Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ), and four flights a week to Dulles International Airport (IAD).

In addition to the airline expanding its routes in North America, Egyptair has also announced several other new destinations. The airline will begin flying from Cairo to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) in Dhaka, Bangladesh from May 14 twice weekly, flying on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Egyptair also recently announced a new nonstop destination to São Paulo Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) in Brazil flying from Cairo.
