Transportation finance lawyer Richard Evans has joined Pillsbury from White & Case. Evans has more than a decade of legal experience in the aviation industry and is dual-qualified as an attorney in California and a solicitor of England & Wales. Evans, who joins as counsel, focuses on global finance transactions, working primarily with major aircraft leasing companies. His notable clients have included Aercap, Air Lease Corporation, BBAM Aircraft Management, Jackson Square Aviation, Sky Holding Company and Wings Capital Partners. He will partner with special counsel Jason Greenberg to further develop Pillsbury’s West Coast leasing practice and service the firm’s many leasing and banking clients. “Pillsbury’s Transportation Finance team has had an exciting year, with the addition of leading partners in multiple markets and the expansion of our offering in Asia,” said Transportation Finance practice co-leader Mark Lessard. “Richard’s addition in Los Angeles further augments our capabilities and bolsters our position in the California market. We’re thrilled to have a colleague with his broad experience and connections to round out our team.” In addition to his private practice experience, Evans was interim general counsel at Jackson Square Aviation, a consultant at a startup aircraft leasing company and in-house counsel at Airbus Group.
