easyJet will operate more flights to Lapland for Christmas and has a quarter of a million extra seats now on sale for this winter, to serve demand for last-minute winter sun breaks as well as those travelling over the festive season.
easyJet will begin flying to Kittila in Lapland from London Gatwick for the first time next month. Flights take off on December 3, and will operate twice a week throughout the winter season. The new route joins an existing twice weekly service from London Gatwick to Rovaniemi which the airline has also upped capacity on with 2000 more seats now available across the Christmas period.
Furthermore, the airline has put an extra 245,000 seats on sale to destinations such as winter sun favourites across the Canaries, Alicante and Menorca, from a range of airports including London Gatwick, Luton, Glasgow and Manchester in the UK.
Paris has also had an injection of extra flying from London Luton. Meanwhile, ski favourite Salzburg and the up-and-coming ski resorts via Sofia in Bulgaria have been made more accessible with an extra 1500 seats added from Bristol in time for the February half term.
