Certification of COMAC's C919 aircraft in Europe will reportedly take three to six years, the president of European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Florian Guillermet in an interview with L'Usine nouvelle on April 28, 2025.
The aircraft acts as a competitor to the A320 and 737. The aircraft had been certified by the China's aviation authority CAAC in late 2023. The Chinese manufacturer had reportedly hoped for certification this year.
