Eagle Air Iceland sells its only Dornier 328-100
Eagle Air Iceland has sold its only Dornier 328-100 aircraft on May 29, 2024, after putting it up for sale in January 2024, with ACC Aviation appointed to remarket the aircraft. The sale included its spare engine, propeller assembly, as well as a comprehensive spares and tooling package. The winning bidder proposed a deferred sale agreement for the spare engine and propeller assembly. After a fleet restructuring in January 2023, Eagle Air Iceland had found the 32-seat aircraft to be too large for its operational needs. The domestic flights and charter services airlines operates three Jetstream 32 and one Jetstream 31. ""We are very pleased to have entrusted ACC Aviation with remarketing of our DO328 aircraft,"" said Eagle Air Iceland chairman Sigurdur Jonsson. ""The ACC team ensured that the aircraft found a suitable owner at a price reasonable for both parties."" ACC Aviation director of consulting Rob Watts commented on the sale: ""Our team’s in-depth market knowledge and strategic approach ensured that Eagle Air Iceland achieved optimal results. Through rigorous analysis and negotiation, we increased the gross sale proceeds by 38%, demonstrating our commitment to maximising value for our clients."" The gross sale proceeds were not disclosed.
