Eagle Air has grounded its fleet due to problems with one of its Beechcraft 1900D aircraft. The regional airline, which is owned by Air New Zealand, is inspecting its entire fleet of 18 Beechcraft after hairline cracks were discovered in the tail area of one of them during routine maintenance.
Three out of four aircraft checked so far have been found to be affected and all Eagle Air services have been cancelled as a precautionary measure.
