The Dublin Airport Authority said it expected "just under half a million passengers" to come and go during the April 7-10 Easter weekend.
The traffic will make it the busiest weekend of the year so far, topping the St. Patrick's Day break in March.
The airport, Europe's 15th busiest in 2022 according to UK-based data provider Cirium, usually sees around 30 million passengers a year.
Dublin is an international centre for many of the world's leading aviation businesses, particularly in leasing. Ryanair, usually labelled Europe's biggest airline, is headquartered in Dublin.
Shannon Airport, near Limerick in the south of the country, said it is also expecting a busy Easter with 73,000 passengers due to depart or land.
“Our US pre-clearance, the airport sensory room and our high-tech security screening are just some of the facilities we pride ourselves on, to ensure the journey through Shannon Airport this Easter, and every other day, is as easy and hassle free as possible," said chief executive Mary Considine.
Across the Irish Sea, Liverpool John Lennon Airport said it expects to handle around 64,000 passengers over the weekend.
