Donna Ager has joined Walkers' Global Asset Finance team.
Ager has more than 20 years' experience in the aviation finance sector, and will be joining Walkers' Global Asset Finance team as an Irish law partner. Ager will be based in Walkers' London office, working closely with Dublin-based partners Matt Hedigan and Killian McSharry and our London and Dublin teams.
Asset Finance partner Matt Hedigan said: "We are delighted that Donna is joining our growing team focused on aviation finance, working in partnership with our colleagues across the Walkers offices in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
"Her experience in onshore private practice and in-house gives Donna a unique insight and credentials in the aviation finance sector, and we are particularly pleased to have a permanent presence in the London market, complementing our leading Dublin office asset finance and corporate services offering and our international network across the Cayman Islands, the Channel Islands, Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, Hong Kong, Dubai and Singapore.”
Ager was previously the European head of Asset Finance at Maples, and before that was a partner in the asset finance team at Simmons & Simmons in London. She qualified as a barrister before joining Freshfields and went on to take an in-house role with Airbus at their Toulouse headquarters, prior to practising with Clifford Chance in London.
Jonathan Sheehan, the managing partner of Walkers' Ireland office, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Donna aboard as the latest addition to our Asset Finance team, which continues to grow in the wake of a resurgence in aviation instructions post-pandemic.
"Donna's broad experience in the aviation finance sector is a real differentiator with clients and we look forward to her having a significant impact in this area in the months and years ahead.
