dnata Logistics has broken ground on its new 57,000m² warehouse facility in Dubai South - an urban development in the city that is dedicated to aviation and logistics needs.
The new facility represents an investment of AED100 million ($27 million). dnata Logistics said the facility will provide a “major boost” to its operational capabilities and rising demand for its cargo and logistics services in the region. The facility is capable of processing 400,000 tonnes of cargo per year and will increase the company's storage capacity by 50%.
“As we expand our product offerings and reach new markets, this warehouse will allow us to provide even better services to our customers, while staying at the forefront of operational innovation,” said dnata Logistics managing director Sean Bradley. “Our commitment to sustainability is central to this project. From energy efficiency to waste reduction, every aspect of the warehouse has been designed with environmental efficiency in mind.”
