Southern Sky Air & Tours, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., parent company of Direct Air, has filed for Chapter 11 protection from creditors in Massachusetts. All Direct Air flights had already been cancelled last week.
The company listed debt of $10 million to $50 million, with just $500,000 to $1 million in assets.
