Deutsche Aircraft has revised its entry into service timeline for its D328eco, a 40-seater regional turboprop, to the fourth quarter of 2027. It had previously been set to enter service in 2026.
The adjustments were driven by regulatory changes that require a more detailed and comprehensive certification process, along with the accompanying compliance requirements.
Deutsche Aircraft CEO Dave Jackson said: “We are taking this opportunity to investigate further product enhancements and satisfied by the tremendous progress of the programme to date: our certification panels with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) are advancing successfully, start of construction for our final assembly line in Leipzig has begun and we have secured over 95% of our suppliers, including those providing access to strategic growth markets.""
The company will provide further updates on the aircraft at this year’s Farnborough International Airshow.
