Delta CRJ-900s collide at LaGuardia

Two Delta Air Lines CRJ-900s regional jets, operated by Endeavor Air, collided on the taxiway at New York’s LaGuardia Airport on October 1.

The wing of one aircraft slammed into the cockpit windows of the other. One person – the pilot of one of the aircraft – was taken to a hospital. No one else was injured.

The National Transportation Safety Board is now investigating the incident, which did not impact airport operations.

“The NTSB dispatched a team of 10 to LaGuardia,” NTSB spokesman Eric Weiss said in a statement to US media. “Flight recorders from both airplanes have been recovered and are now at NTSB headquarters in Washington for readout and analysis.”
